THE PLANETS (HOLST)

This is the best-known work by the English composer Gustav Holst.
It is a suite of seven movements, each of which Holst was given the name of a planet (and its corresponding god in Roman mythology):
Mars, the bringer of war.
Venus, the bringer of peace.
Mercury, the winged messenger.
Jupiter, the bringer of joy.
Saturn, the bringer of old age.
Uranus, the magician.
Neptune, the mystic.

So, Holst tried to represent the astrological significance in music / mythology of each planet.
